Ready Communication Supports Norway's National Digitization Strategy 2024–2030
Ready Communication delivers mission-critical communication and internet solutions that align with Norway's National Digitization Strategy 2024–2030, supporting the country's ambition to become the world's most digitalized nation.
Oslo, 27.10.2025.
The Norwegian government has set a clear ambition: by 2030, Norway will be the world's most digitalized country. The strategy outlined by the Norwegian Government establishes the foundation for digital transformation across society, with specific goals for public sector digitalization, secure infrastructure, and enhanced preparedness.
At Ready Communication, our solutions directly support several of the strategy's core pillars, providing the robust, redundant communication infrastructure that Norway needs to achieve its digitalization goals while maintaining security and resilience.
Secure and Future-Ready Digital Infrastructure
The digitization strategy's second major goal focuses on ensuring "secure and future-ready digital infrastructure." The government aims to provide high-speed broadband and good mobile coverage to everyone, while ensuring robust electronic communication networks and services throughout the country.
Target 2030: All residents in Norway shall have access to high-speed broadband with at least 1 Gbit/s download speed. Currently, 95.1% have this access.
Ready Communication's solutions fill a critical gap in this infrastructure vision: redundancy and resilience when primary networks fail or become unavailable. And communication and internet access for first responders.
Our Garm and Fenrisulfr systems provide:
- Infrastructure-independent connectivity: Satellite-based internet that functions when terrestrial networks are unavailable or overloaded
- Multi-network redundancy: Automatic switching between satellite and cellular (4G/5G) for seamless connectivity
- Rapid deployment: Operational within minutes with single-button activation
- Geographic independence: Connectivity regardless of existing infrastructure—supporting remote areas and emergency situations
Strengthened Security, Preparedness, and Crime Prevention
The strategy's third pillar emphasizes strengthening national digital security and preparedness to ensure critical societal functions and fundamental national functions are maintained. The government commits to actively using digital technologies to strengthen national security and preparedness work.
Targets 2030:
- All state agencies shall have evaluated, improved, or renewed their information security management systems (currently 80.9%)
- 90% of municipalities shall have evaluated, improved, or renewed their information security management systems (currently 66.7%)
Ready Communication's solutions directly support these security and preparedness objectives:
Critical Infrastructure Backup
When primary communication networks are compromised—whether due to cyberattacks, natural disasters, infrastructure failures, or capacity overload—our systems provide a separate network over satellite. This ensures that critical societal functions can continue operating during disruptions.
Operational Continuity
Public sector organizations including emergency services, healthcare providers, municipalities, and critical infrastructure operators rely on continuous connectivity to deliver essential services. Our solutions ensure this continuity even in worst-case scenarios.
Proven Deployments
Organizations like Sarpsborg Brannvesen (Sarpsborg Fire Department) and Østfold Røde Kors (Østfold Red Cross) already deploy our technology to maintain communication capability during emergencies and major events when traditional networks become congested or fail.
Supporting Data-Driven Innovation and AI Deployment
The strategy's fourth priority area focuses on increasing data sharing and leveraging opportunities in data and data-driven innovation. A key metric: by 2030, all state agencies should be using AI in their operations (currently 43%).
Reliable, high-bandwidth connectivity is the foundation for these ambitions. Without robust infrastructure, data-intensive applications and AI-powered services cannot function effectively.
Ready Communication's high-speed satellite and cellular solutions enable:
- Remote data access: Organizations can access cloud-based AI services and large datasets from any location
- Field operations connectivity: Real-time data collection and transmission from remote or mobile operations
- Redundant access paths: Ensuring continuous access to critical data infrastructure even during disruptions
Building Trust and Ensuring Inclusion
The strategy's last priority area focuses on preserving trust, strengthening inclusion, and safeguarding children and youth. A critical metric: increase citizens' trust in how the public sector works to ensure privacy by 20% (trust has declined 12% since 2010).
Infrastructure resilience directly impacts public trust. When critical services remain accessible during crises—when emergency services can coordinate, when healthcare systems stay online, when municipalities can continue serving citizens—trust in public institutions strengthens.
Ready Communication's approach to building trust includes:
- Reliable performance: Infrastructure that works when it's needed most
- Comprehensive training: Ensuring organizations know how to deploy and use systems effectively
- Norwegian partnership: Local support and collaboration through our partner network
A Partner in Norway's Digital Future
The National Digitization Strategy 2024–2030 sets ambitious goals across multiple dimensions: public sector digitalization, infrastructure deployment, security enhancement, AI adoption, data utilization, and inclusive digital participation.
Each of these goals depends on a fundamental prerequisite: reliable, resilient, and redundant digital infrastructure.
Ready Communication provides exactly this foundation. Our solutions ensure that when organizations undertake digital transformation initiatives, implement new AI-powered services, or expand data-driven operations, they can do so with confidence that connectivity will be maintained even during disruptions.
As Norway works toward becoming the world's most digitalized country, we are committed to supporting public sector organizations with the infrastructure they need to achieve this vision while maintaining the security, resilience, and reliability that critical societal functions demand.
Supporting Your Organization's Digitalization Journey
Whether your organization is a municipality implementing new digital services, an emergency service enhancing preparedness, a healthcare provider expanding telemedicine capabilities, or a government agency deploying AI-powered solutions, Ready Communication can support your infrastructure needs.
Our solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems, deploy rapidly when needed, and provide the redundancy that modern digital services require.
