Ready Communication AS Enables Live Streaming from Remote Osprey Nest on Protected Island in Oslofjord

Oslo, 30.04.2025 — Ready Communication AS is proud to announce the successful deployment of a lightweight and self contained communications solution enabling live video streaming from the osprey nest of Mr. and Mrs. Rauer, located on a protected island in the ocean just outside Fredrikstad in Norway.

The project is a collaborative effort between Ready Communication AS and Rune Aae, one of the top ornithologist in the world.

The project presented unique challenges due to the island’s remote and isolated nature. To overcome these, Ready Communication AS designed and delivered a fully standalone, solar-powered portable solution capable of operating independently and reliably in a sensitive natural environment while being easy to deploy.

This initiative represents a powerful intersection of technology and conservation, allowing the public and researchers alike to experience real-time insights into the lives of these majestic birds — without disturbing their habitat.
